The Teaching Begins

Today fifteen Rwandan church leaders gathered in Kigali, Rwanda to begin their next series of lessons (Three Lessons on the Holy Spirit). Smiles and hugs filled the house as each church leader arrived. They were still able to quote Psalm 1, which they memorized last June. And their appetite for God’s Word is as great as ever. They indicated that not only had they been using the teaching from June (Matthew 5-7) in the local church, but they have been using the material to teach other church leaders.

After decades of teaching, I am still surprised at how fulfilling it is to teach followers of Jesus who are motivated to know God’s truth. Yes, today the surprise was still there.

May God use this week to advance His Kingdom in Rwanda for His glory and His honor.

Frank

Frank, it was so encouraging to wake up and read these words. It must be very fulfilling for you and Bob to hear that they have started training others. I love that this is reproducible!
The Woodrow's are praying for you and Bob as you continue to train the trainers this week.
Blessings,
Matayo Rukundo

I almost feel like I am there reading your blog this morning. How exciting to still feel the hunger for the Word among these church leaders! Please give them all my greetings and tell them I am praying for them, and their wives and families while they are away from each other. (I can certainly relate this time) Sorry I missed your call yesterday, the phone rang and I just couldn't get to it in time.
Love you!

Hey Frank, I've got happy tears thinking that you're tasting the "surprise" of God blessing you and reminding you that you're doing what you were made for!!! I can imagine you're grinning from ear to ear. Those pastors are blessed to be sitting and learning from you!!! Have you taught them your phrase "hey nowww" ?? ;) Enjoy it to the fullest! Praying and thanking God with you!

I see iron sharpening iron in Rwanda. The body of Christ is an amazing organism. What a privilege to be able to hear and see a little of what God is growing there. Can't wait to hear more!
