First Sunday in January

Scott McClimans, Isaac Fultz, and I (Frank) departed Logan airport after 10:30 PM on New Year's Eve and arrived in Kigali, Rwanda on January 2nd. Yes, we were exhausted, but excited to be in Rwanda. Below, Isaac briefly shares about his first Sunday in Rwanda.

Zarephath Church

This morning we worshiped with Zarephath Church, arriving around 10:00 AM local time to find many church members singing, dancing, praising God and shouting hallelujah. There were songs by a worship team, followed by a children's choir, and then two adult choirs. There was much thanksgiving for the new year, praise for what God had done in 2015, and rejoicing that God would be the same in 2016 as He had been in 2015. Theophile then introduced Pastor Frank, Scott, and I and translated for us as we greeted the church. Pastor Frank then preached on the pattern of spiritual growth. It was beautiful and inspiring to see a full church shouting with joy and praising God. We will return to Zarephath next week, where Scott will give a message, and I look forward to worshiping there again.
